ABOUT US

Managing Director Julian Buesnel

Blue Water Supplies began trading in 2002 and is still owned and managed by Managing Director Julian Buesnel.

"When we started at Southampton boat show with a few SPADE anchors we could never have imagined how things were going to unfold", explains managing director Julian Buesnel.

In 2003 Blue Water Supplies teamed up with Pharmacist Ian Hardy to produce SeaMedic, a new medical kit for ocean sailing and a year later they went on to develop CrewMedic for smaller vessels. CrewMedic is now one of the leading marine first aid kits in the UK and is used by the Royal Yachting Association, various fire and rescue services and youth groups.

Blue Water Supplies is now sole UK distributor for SPADE and Sword anchors, SwissTech and Storm Bag, they co-produce SeaMedic and CrewMedic and are UK agents for Katadyn, SeaRecovery and various other leading brands.

Blue Water Supplies does not have a chandlery shop but operates from an office right next to the main St Helier holding pontoon. The office itself is in what is known as "The Old Lifeboat Bunker" a military bunker that was left over from the German occupation of Jersey during the second world war. This bunker served as Jersey's lifeboat station for many years until the present one was built.
